Gardeners are usually the easiest people to buy gifts for. They are constantly needing tools replaced and would be content with a bag of coop poop. However, I have put together my Top 5 Gift Ideas that are some of my favorites to give (and receive)!

The view we see OUT of windows is just as important as the view from IN the garden.
November is here and with it cooler weather! If you haven't planted your spring annuals yet, NOW is the time!
A garden does not transform in a day. It starts with a design and vision. My longtime client started transforming her garden with me in 2018 with a small space off of the back patio. Over time, it was her goal to redesign a separate part of her garden, a large space over 500 square feet of planting beds, known as the secret garden.

So, I compiled a list of my favorite small trees that grow well in the Central Valley of California (zone 9). All 5 choices prefer full sun, which most of us have plenty of!
Every August in the Central Valley, I find myself wondering why I have so many roses. There is no question that roses are the epitome of the cottage garden, but without her supporting characters: evergreens, perennials and annuals they will not a summer garden make. One of my favorite ways to use roses is in mixed borders. Be sure to surround them with perennials such as daylilies, salvia, lantana and catmint just to name a few.
